Friends of Brunswick – Pumpkin Party
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the Pumpkin Party on Saturday 10th November from 3-5pm.
Venue: The party is in The Wild Place at Milton Country Park. Once you have parked, follow the path to the park, there will be signs directing you straight, towards the play area for about 50m. The Wild Place is on the right, just before you reach the play area.
Please arrive promptly as we have pumpkins to carve!
Just a few quick reminders:
- Wrap up warm, with waterproofs, umbrellas etc.
- IMPORTANT: please bring torches as it will become very dark during the party – and there will be a torch lit walk for the children!
- You will need money for the car park (£3.50) and please bring some change as there will be cakes available to buy to raise money for Brunswick.
- Please make sure that your sharing food is clearly labelled with ingredients (no nuts please). You can drop it off in the cabin when you arrive.
- Mrs Wilks will be telling a story towards the end of the party, she has asked if parents can provide their children with a small torch to be used during this.
- If have any favourite tools for pumpkin carving, please feel free to bring them – we have a number of knives and spoons but will need to share.
Whilst there will be plenty of adults around, please can we ask that you remain responsible for your own children/party at all times. For your awareness, the Wild Place is partially fenced in but not entirely. And finally if you are able to help with clearing up at the end, volunteers would be very welcome!
Data Collection
Can I remind all parents to hand in their data collection sheets with any incorrect details updated and please don’t forget to sign at the bottom.
Collection Times
Please can we stress that you must collect your child promptly. We are still having to keep staff back to care for children whose parents are late. This impacts on the child and the staff. Morning sessions end at 11.45am and afternoon sessions end at 3.45pm. Thank you for your co-operation.
Children in Need
We will be supporting Children in Need on Friday 16th November. We ask children to wear something spotty and for a voluntary contribution of £1.00 towards it.
Forest School
We have a request for more parent volunteers to help with Forest School trips. As we can only allow a small amount of staff to help due to nursery requirements we really need parents to get involved otherwise some groups may not be able to go. Please speak to your Keyworker if you can help out. Can we also remind you to hand the signed Forest School forms in to your Keyworker.
Tubes and Boxes
Please could you bring in any tubes or boxes you may have for the week commencing 19th November. The children are going to be creating large-scale marble runs.
